Inheritance Tax

Wills

Everyone should have a Will, and if you haven’t, it’s time to draw one up. It’s especially important if you have children, you own property, you have savings, investments or insurance policies, or you own a business. It makes you think about what you have and what you want to happen to it.

Once you’ve made a Will, it’s important that you keep it under review and make any necessary amendments. We will help take care of every aspect your Will, enabling you to spend more time with those you love.

Trusts

If your goal is to mitigate the effects of Inheritance Tax on your estate, trusts can be an important part of the process. They are a way of managing assets for people, and by setting one up while you’re still here, you can influence who controls the trust, who benefits and when.

Although trusts can be a cornerstone of effective estate planning, they are complex. For this reason, we recommend speaking to our team of advisers who will explain the benefits of using a trust and navigate you through the process.

Lasting Power of Attorney

Not having a Lasting Power of Attorney in place can cause problems for both you and your family if you become unable to make your own decisions. Implementing one while you still have full capacity to make sound decisions will fill the gap if you lose the capacity to deal with your affairs.
